John has distilled a number of theatre techniques and an actor’s voice training to provide inspirational teaching for those who need to improve their delivery of formal business presentations.

His methods have been applied, at one end of the scale, to intensive private coaching sessions for executives preparing important speeches and at the other end of the scale to major presentations undertaken by sales teams at events in the UK and overseas.  He also delivers training to teachers within schools and to groups from the NHS

Career background

Examples of the varied work John undertakes include:

  • For a nursing group he produced half day training sessions to assist communication and voice skills.
  • For an International Pharmaceutical company he designed and ran a series of annual conferences over a period of six years to promote effective sales initiatives
  • For the head of a Local Authority he devised and ran a programme to assist her in her campaign for higher office.
  • For a group of schools within East Sussex concerned with working days lost to voice strain,  he provided specialist voice coaching for secondary school teachers delivered in 30 minute sessions prior to the start of their working days
  • For students preparing material prior to entrance examinations for higher education and drama training he runs a weekly voice workshop.

He has considerable experience as a performer and is well known from television.  He has appeared in The Alchemist, All in the Game, The Bill, Casualty, The Chief, City Central, Cover Her Face, Cracker, Dalziel and Pascoe, Death of an Expert, Doomwatch, Duchess of Duke Street, The Franchise Affair, Heartbeat, Kings Royal, The Knock, Miracles Take Longer, The Money Men, Murder Not Proven, Ninety Nine to One, QED, Sam Saturday, Seven Dials Mystery, Shoestring, Shroud for a Nightingale, Soldier Soldier, Starhunter, Surviving Disaster – Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster, Touch of Frost, Van der Valk, Westbeach, William and Mary, and Wycliffe.
